At A Laws For Words

Bush challenges hundreds of laws
"President Bush has quietly claimed the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office, asserting that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution."
I guess there's nothing in the oath of office that says he needs to obey the law. But honestly... ooo, that was an ironic turn of phrase, wasn't it?

Why would he bother to follow those pesky laws? And to think, Clinton was crucified for saying that receiving a legal and consensual blowjob was not "real" sex to him (well... it certainly wasn't "real" intercourse)... but choosing to disobey over 750 laws somehow pales in comparison to that in Bush World. Oy vey...
