If This is the Next "October Suprise"...

...Then we can expect autumn leaves to be followed by a picturesqe Nuclear Winter.
The aircraft carrier Eisenhower, accompanied by the guided-missile cruiser USS Anzio, guided-missile destroyer USS Ramage, guided-missile destroyer USS Mason and the fast-attack submarine USS Newport News, is, as I write, making its way to the Straits of Hormuz off Iran. The ships will be in place to strike Iran by the end of the month. It may be a bluff. It may be a feint. It may be a simple show of American power. But I doubt it... War with Iran -- a war that would unleash an apocalyptic scenario in the Middle East -- is probable by the end of the Bush administration. It could begin in as little as three weeks.
Quite a read, this article.

The optimist in me says the October Surprise will simply be another Diebold-assisted stolen election. The pessimist in me says armageddon makes for one hell of a halloween party.

and another one is that dia-bold will try and steal yet another election

but what every 'they' try and do

we have to be prepared to counter that with TRUTH!

I sincerely think he's going to leave us with at least three wars on the burner when he finally goes to Texas for the last time. I had the timing of either Iran or N. Korea (or God help us, both!!) before the 08 Prezzie selection, but all bets are off. This crowd's goofy enough to do anything at any time.

Mouthy Me again. "Saber rattling" to rouse the faithful? So we pray.

Did anyone have the stomach to watch/listen to Bush's Illinois Fundraiser speech, and count how many times he used the buzz word "protect"? He continues to brainwash the sheeple with claims of protecting us by arousing the hatred of most of the rest of the world.
He and the Neocons seem determined to go ahead with their plans for world domination, no matter what.

I wonder if it's too late for the truth to do any good.

Yet, we must try.

You still have an optimist inside you? Sheesh... mine died in Nov of 2004... every once in a great while I'll feel her begin stirring around again... but I usually just chalk it up to a gas bubble.

Soon every nation in the world need their own nukes for a deterence to save them form a possible attack by that theocracy and warmongering rouqe nation, the U.S.A. Soon I, as a pro-American, need to get a personal body guard for a deterence to save me from possible attacks from just about everybody.

azgoddess: the truth will set us free... or send us to an offshore CIA detention facility.

future: by the time they leave office, we might be at war with England!

worried: I didn't watch it, and I feel a lot less nauseous for it 8^)

granny: who can say anymore, when we live in a world that seems like pulp fiction!

tina: me optimistic? I must have been on the upswing of a manic episode.

pekka: yes, I'm surprised we haven't been kicked off the planet already.
