Just when you thought things couldn't get worse...

...The Sunset Commission might just brink darkess to us all (as in, "The Dark Ages"). Watch n' Wait blogged about it, and Granny did, too. And so shall I, because this sort of thing is exactly why the Republican party has become the single greatest danger to America and all it stands for. Worse than terrorism, worse than the wrath of nature itself. If they succeed at this, it will be the end of America, as we know it, in all but the name.

Not tooting my own horn, but take a look at the long essay I copied from the Rockridge Institute today. More of the same only worse.

The Republican party is a greater danger to America than terrorism? It is one matter that you assert this as simply over zealous loyal opposition; if you truly believe it then you are a small step away from commencing your "manuscript" in the cabin. Perhaps Nanook will be able to put you up whilst you peck away at your keyboard.

Best of luck to you. I hear the times is publishing "odd" things.

It's not a question of belief, Rick, it's just the truth. And best of luck to you, too, as you manage to follow your leaders in lockstep while wearing blinders at the same time.

One either believes that the Republican party is more dangerous than terrorism or one is following leaders in lockstep wearing blinders? That is your position? Interesting.

Used to be an interesting debate here. What has happened to you shea?

Debate? Your comment was just a sarcastic insult, wasn't it? Nanook and typing manuscripts in cabins? "Good luck with..?" If that's your idea of a substantial response to my post, then I think my response was more serious than you deserved.

On the other hand, I am as prepared as ever to debate anyone about the Republican agenda. If you think you have the ability to present an argument, instead of poorly executed snarky attempts at half-baked insult-comic humor, then bring it on, man. Bring it on.

A post that claims the Republican party is a greater threat than terrorism does not merit serious comment. You have placed yourself out there in the wilderness near those that believe the towers were brought down by a collaborative effort between the Israelis and the C.I.A., and the Pentagon was struck by a missile.

If you ever had a serious post you might receive serious comment. Of course, perhaps you are fishing for comments like "blog on brother", in which case you are a smashing success.

Cheerio.

Once again, Rick you show up to demonstrate that I am correct. Do you just come around here to reinforce my point? Why did you bother to use the word "debate" if you are incapable of engaging in one? You are the one who brought it up. You say I should debate, but you refuse to do so, because you don't have the ability to refute anything I say. You've got nothing. C'mon, how about calling me crazy some more, huh? That certainly presents a persuasive argument. Gosh, you really put me in my place.

You can spew your right-wing-talk-radio-catchphrases all you want. You really debate like a republican: instead of addressing the issue, you try to distract attention away from it with the same old tired right-wing-blame-the-messenger-to-cause-a-distration-while-ignoring-the-issues-at-all-costs strategy. That sure seems to work for you guys. How you manage to build a towering political machine on a foundation of total bullshit is one of the reasons that I am constantly amazed.

We built a towering political machine because we are right. You don't get it because you can't. The best strategy you employ is getting in the last word. Have at it.

"...towering political machine,"

translation; "...ginormous pile of stinky poo."

Buy into it (little "r") rick, The whole system as we know it in america is on the tottering legs of a senile old man that is pissing himself in ecstasy over the thought of "moral" superiority over the "terrorists".

Greater danger? Repukes in control of up to 10,000 nukes, the largest standing armed service in the history of mankind, and the unwavering devotion of millions of radical religious fundamentalists, or "terrorists" in control of 10,000 suicide bombers.

Piss off little boy, you have absolutely no grasp of the damage that predatory capitalism and its lap dog the "american government" has been responsible for and is capable of.

I know I'm being too hard on you and the rest of brain dead america, I too was once perfectly content in my microwave and cable equipped cocoon, sucking on mama's(the party line) teat while believing in the infallibility of my "homeland".

I have a final word for you since you seem to crave it so much...

"Wake up!"

Thanks, Mike. Poor little Rick is all talk and no substance. He may get off calling me crazy, but he knows he can't call me wrong, because then he would have to face the truth about his own beliefs. I can understand why he is afraid of that.
