Truthseekers, dig this article that I found on the web in time for Tax day: 31 Questions and Answers about the IRS, Revision 3.3.
It contends that the IRS has no authority, and that is it a totally bogus, unconstitutional, fraudulent organization. Now, I believe in "pay-as-you-go" as much as any liberal. But as for the IRS as an entity, I found this information to be quite interesting. You might, too.

ah yes -- i have friends who have never paid taxes that have shown me many articles that state the same thing...
and think -- what owuld happen if we all stopped paying...who would support the king???
In my opinion the only tax that should exist is sales tax. We should only pay on things we want rather than on money we've "earned". That's right, EARNED! Thus, the richer pay more because they buy more. Not only that, where the hell has the theory of balanced budgets gone?!?!? The glory of the income tax and the Federal Reserve have only served to wreck the economy of the national government because politicians think they can spend our money into the abyss. Makes you wonder why we began buying into the BS of income tax in the first place.
The day the government deserves 30% of my income is the day it's helping me wheel up patients, start IVs, and wipe dirty tooshie.
This "belief", right or wrong, had quite a following in Michigan for a long time. There were folks who didn't pay any income taxes for ten years or more.
Now they're doing ten years or more.
I like the idea of replacing income tax with sales tax, too. No loopholes for the rich there! As a liberal, I am aware that government services must be paid for (as opposed to conservatives, who seem to think everything should be had on credit). But, fairness should be the rule of the day, and a tax on consumption sounds like a good start.
just wondering -- do you not want comments to your post today about war for the sake of war?
i can respect that, my friend but if it's a mistake -- let me know -- and FYI -- i totally agree...there's no other logical reason than the simple fact -- war is for the sake of war...
Ooops! Thanks for letting me know, Azgoddess! Comments are open on that post now 8^)
