From the LOL Files

ABC News: New Iraq Strategy Includes a Shift in Rhetoric:
"In a sign the administration is re-evaluating its own rhetoric on Iraq as the midterm elections approach, White House spokesman Tony Snow announced Bush would no longer use the phrase 'stay the course.' "
I know, it's already been written about. But I just can't let this one go by. It's just too hilarious. "Stay the course", for those too young to remember, was a Reagan-era phrase to begin with, and every repuke ever since has made it their motto. The Bush cabal has been repeating it for years, over and over and over and over and over. And, the repukes and their ministers of propaganda have said just as often that anything other than "stay the course" is cut-and-run treason. So now Bush himself is the cut-and-run guy? Just like during Vietnam? LOL!

I noticed even Tony Snow is standing there saying "No, that isn't what he meant at all." Then what the hell DID he mean? I guess when you're The Decider, you get first choice of new lies.

"Tell them what they want to hear." He'll be back to his regular Nazi form before the ink on the ballots are dry. Count on it. He does this every election, and America swallows it..((:

Future: I guess we can call that "Snow flurries"! (with fog).

Laurie: They certainly do gamble on the public's short memory.

azgoddess: I guess we listen to their words because it's like listening to the sound of a cat coughing up a hairball -- we expect it, but it's still weirdly compelling!

Windspike: If there's one thing they need, it's a new slogan (instead of "stay the course", that is).

Future: Sad but true.
