Another "Hmm..."

Interesting:
Tom Gilroy: "White House in chaos" & other utter horseshit.
Nothing could be more damaging for the bridge club of armchair politicians known as the Democratic Leadership than the recent spate of sound bytes like "Bush's worst week in Office," "A White House Demoralized," and "Bushies on the Brink of Collapse".

The problem with these snappy doomsday pronouncements--collective wishes really--is that they bear no relationship to reality. You really have to wonder what kind of bloated house-bound moron could think slumping polls and plummeting approval ratings would worry a gang of fanatics who stole two elections in a row, invaded a country they knew couldn't defend itself, and gave a male hustler White House security clearance.
In other words: approval ratings don't mean shit to the neocons. They steal elections!

Wow, that was an amazing, albeit thoroughly depressing, OpEd.

Reality bites. No wonder Bush has detached himself.

Brilliant analysis! I sometimes take comfort in headlines such as these thinking the end must be near for these jackals, but is it?

They ",,,invaded a country they knew couldn't defend itself." I say, they've invaded us because they knew we couldn't defend ourselves.

As the sage philosopher Pogo once put it.

"We have met the enemy... and he is us"

Wow, Mike's comment is awfully poigniant.

And on another note, apparently I like to say "wow" a lot.

Wow, you know, "wow" spelled sideways is "oww". As in "Oww, the pain I feel when I realize they will probably install Jeb Bush as the next president..."

Good analysis, Shea! If one believes the latter, then why do the former?

Hi Shea,

Reading through "Lie of the Century"--noticed that two of the American's were Democrats (and socialists to boot). Hitler was also a socialist. Could it be that leftist cause the bulk of the wars in the world? After all, Bush is one of the biggest socialists I have seen come along in some time.

Just a thought...

Jack, capitalism is cause all of the wars in the world. (at least the big ones) Socialism is just another name for a top down system of rule that establishes a ruling elite that maintains control of the masses in order to insure that the great bulk of wealth that is created by the labor of the common man is funneled to those at the top. In the end the capitalists win whether its under a system of communisim, socialism, or so called democracy. And don't try to tell me that plenty of money wasn't made by the capitalists by letting communism, as practiced by the soviets, exist for as many years as it did.
btw, the biggest socialist organization in the world at this time is the u.s armed forces, talk about a welfare state!

Well, Jack, according to this definition, one could extrapolate that Bush is a socialist ("n 1: a political theory advocating state ownership of industry 2: an economic system based on state ownership of capital"), but honestly, I don't think the Bush people desire state ownership unless they actually become the state. What they want is to own/control everything themselves, including the state. I say they are a combination of plutocrat and fascist.
